I drove by her today
Silver BMW shining under summer sun
Tears rolled down her naked cheeks
Lips mocking another heartbreak song
She forced her lips
Into unpleasant words
Pursing “Goodbye”
Before breaking into sobs
Her right hand grasped a silent phone
Left hand on the wheel
Eyes glazed with saline solution
Wishing this weren’t real
Her body shook, keeping rhythm
To a dying chorus
A detoxification of hated love,
Loved hate, leaking loss
You had to look to see her
The pain in blind eyes
Searching for satisfaction
Hopeless cries
Pupils dilating, not knowing what to be
I know, she was me

Fantastic poem...I love you and am here for you. Thanks for listening to me vent the other night.
You know I'm here...always. I do enough venting for the three of us combined. PS...Jordan started talking to me again yesterday, after getting back from his sister's wedding. Do I care? I dunno. I'm kind of crushing on this teacher I met at new teacher training. He's my age...just moved here from Chicago. Kind of has a girlfriend...not sure on this yet...if you can get a girlfriend in a week. Damn. Anyway, love you!
